Project: Senior Stories of Resilience, a documentary to be directed by Roselyn Kelada-Sedra
Themes: How do people recover and move on with full lives? Stories of Niagara seniors, knit together with interviews from past years of Essential Collective Theatre’s Senior Stories Project and new 2020 interviews, focusing on women, with contributions from the men in their lives.
Pre-production starting September, 2020 to shoot in Mid September – October 2020, dates TBD.
Essential Collective Theatre is now accepting applications for the following three (3) paid Emerging Creator positions:
- DoP/camera operator – must be 30 or younger. Must have their own cam and gear (or have access to gear).
- Editor – must be 30 or younger. Must have their own editing set-up.
- Sound operator / sound design/mixer – must be 30 or younger. Must have both sound recording gear (or have access to gear) and editing setup. Potential mentorship opportunity with Emmy award winning sound designer.

Shoots to be done in St. Catharines, ON. Must be based in the Niagara region or drivable distance. Minimum 6, maximum 12 shoot dates (4-5 hours/shoot).
Please note that positions are supported through a Canada Employment Program and income will be taxable. Total remuneration per Creator, after deductions: $2174.82 over a 6 week period.
