Master Class – Meisner Technique with Stephanie Jones

Thursday June 1 – Thursday July 6, 2017, 6pm-9pm

The Meisner Technique was developed by Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York.  The focus of this work is to free an actor from self-consciousness that inhibits them creatively, and to be able to connect more authentically and fully to their scene partners. It is all-encompassing and remains one of North America’s most practical acting techniques.

Playwriting for Youth

Spring 2017

Playwriting-For-Youth-2017

Designed specifically for high school students aged 14-18, this program offers a series of after school workshops that lead young playwrights through the process of writing their own 20 minute play. Students will receive regular group workshops, as well as individual feedback with facilitators. The culminating activity is a reading of excerpts from the students’ plays performed by local actors. This free community event will be held Wednesday, April 26 at 7pm at Brock’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, Room 261.
